Wednesday, June 10th: An afternoon to celebrate Napoli’s 100th anniversary
with the Argentine champion—the last player to wear the “Number 10” jersey for the *Azzurri* squad.

NAPLES – An unmissable event for every Neapolitan fan eager to experience the magic of great football and pay tribute to a man who honored Naples with his sweat, passion, and deep devotion. One hundred years of football history, united by a single *Azzurri* passion. Ahead of the celebrations marking Napoli’s centenary, the 50&Più Napoli association presents the event “…In the Sign of the *Azzurri*!”—part of their ongoing “THE VALUE OF EXPERIENCE” series.

This special “blue-themed” gathering is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, at 5PM, and will take place at the Naples headquarters of this nationally renowned association, located at Via Miguel de Cervantes, 55.

The heart of the afternoon will be a narrative celebrating a romantic and authentic style of football—a style for which Roberto Carlos “El Pampa” Sosa serves as a true ambassador. The Argentine striker—a symbol of the Neapolitan club’s resurgence from Serie C1 all the way to the top flight—will present his book, *L’Ultimo 10* (“The Last Number 10”) (Edizioni MEA, edited by Paquito Catanzaro). This is no mere memoir; rather, it is the journey of a young man who left Santa Rosa with a dream packed in his kit bag, eventually arriving at the “Temple of Diego Armando Maradona” to don that legendary Number 10 jersey—a number that, in Naples, is synonymous with divinity.

Sosa—who bid farewell to the San Paolo stadium in May 2008 while wearing the captain’s armband—remains the last player to have worn that “sacred vestment” (once belonging to Diego) in a league match prior to its permanent retirement. For his extraordinary dedication to the jersey and to the city, the Argentine will receive the “Value of Experience 2026” Special Award.

The event, introduced by Attorney Flavia Chiarolanza and Maurizio Merolla—President of 50&Più Napoli—will feature interviews conducted by journalist Michelangelo Iossa, exploring both memories and future prospects for a club preparing to celebrate its centenary.
