On Friday, May 29, 2026, Radio CRC will dedicate a special episode of “Gol del Secolo“, the popular program featuring sports journalists Umberto Chiariello, Carlo Alvino, and Marco Giordano. This unmissable event for football fans and beyond will celebrate the fortieth anniversary of Diego Armando Maradona’s “Gol del Siglo” (Goal of the Century) at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
At 1:00 PM, live exclusively from Buenos Aires, the great Victor Hugo Morales will speak. Universally dubbed the “Poet of Football,” Morales is the man who introduced the world to the greatest work of art ever painted on a green field. His radio commentary—known as “El Relato,” or “The Commentary of a Goal” par excellence—of that second goal against England is etched in the collective memory: he coined the immortal phrase “Barillete Cosmico” (Cosmic Kite), a cry of joy and emotion that transformed a sporting feat into pure contemporary epic, making one wonder what planet that genius wearing the number 10 had come from.
The lineup of guests in the studio in Naples will be equally extraordinary. Alongside Chiariello, Alvino, and Giordano, Diego Moreno will be present in the studio. He is a refined Argentine musician and performer—Neapolitan by adoption—and a historic “cultural bridge” between the two countries with his musical projects, linked to Morales by a personal friendship. Joining him is journalist and writer Michelangelo Iossa, who just two years ago oversaw the production of the “The Poet of Football” event at the Agorà Baiano in the Campi Flegrei, a memorable occasion followed by the presentation of the City of Naples Medal and a number 10 jersey to Victor Hugo Morales at Napoli’s training center in Castel Volturno.
